An
umbrella organization of some 4,500 major players in the
Philippines housing, and real estate and tourism
industry with 48 chapters nationwide with foreign
affiliates in the USA & Canada it is composed of
private corporations, partnerships, single
proprietorships and individuals all engaged directly
or indirectly in land and housing development, hotel
or resort and tourism related industry,
building and infrastructure construction, materials
production and supply, and services in the various
related fields of engineering, architecture,
community planning, and development financing.
Conceived in the early 1960's, its main objective
is to unite the different sectors of this burgeoning
industry and provide a single vision towards nation
development. As the collective voice of the
industry, it has committed and has been recognized
as an effective and dynamic partner of government in
the attainment of national goals either by direct
participation or meaningful advocacy with public
welfare being always paramount. The expertise and
resources of the Chapter provide added impetus to
the real estate industry as major catalyst and
pump-primer growth.
In
Palawan, particularly in Puerto Princesa City, CREBA
was organized in 1997. The current leadership aims
to expand its membership to municipalities with fast
growing housing and residential centers. And we are
lucky that CREBA-Palawan was the official host of
the CREBA National Convention on the year 2000 right
here in Puerto Princesa City.
